Cnidaria is a phylum containing over 10,000 species of animals found exclusively in aquatic and marine environments.
Three examples of animals under the phylumcnidariaarejellyfish, corals, andparasites.
JellyfishJellyfish are very different from most other animals. They do not have any excretory organs. They also do not have a brain, respiratory system, or circulatory system. Jellyfish excrete waste through the same organ they use to take in food, its mouth. This sounds very odd, but Jellyfish use their mouth for waste expulsion.

CoralsSimilar to jellyfish, corals are different from most other animals. Corals do not have any distinct excretory organs. Corals extend their tentacles to bring in food. After the coral uses the food, all waste is excreted through the corals skin. After the waste is excreted, the current of the water blows it away.

HydroidsLike jellyfish and corals, hydroids are a marine animal that does not have a distinct excretory system. When a hydroid takes in food, any leftovers that cannot be digested are excreted through the mouth. All other food that can be digested undergo the main waste product is ammonia which can be removed by internal and external water currents.
